Which is the Base, Emitter and Collector on a NPN 2222A transistor?

OK, two answers for this one. If it is the PN2222 plastic case then leads down looking at the flat it is EBC left to right.

If it is the 2N2222 metal can the emitter is next to the tab, the collector is across from it and the base is between them.
