Tuning new 406,slight popping at idle.
Well last night I fired it up finally on my old 355 tune, it ran lean as expected but still stayed mostly 14.7 at the WB despite the 150-160 blms.
Now so far all I have done is changed the cylinder volume from 713 to 827 and also as I expected it brought most blms within range. (124-132)
Also added some PE vs RPM fuel due being 14.8 under hvy load.
But I seem to have picked up a slighty popping through exhaust
at idle and was not sure what would cause that. any thought?
Timing is floating 20-25 at idle ,cam is 230/230 560/560 110 lsa.
Would it be the cam purging raw fuel at idle and burning in the exhaust? Would more timing eliminate this maybe?
Also I still get a slight bucking under cruise around 2000-2500
Spark is around 36 degres there and of course Blms are good .
I hate to ask q's about something I have not myself even tried to trouble shoot, but I figured someone might have a quick answer to make this easy.

that much spark advance could cuase some missfires.

try to clamp it at 20btdc.
Ok ill try reducing timing at cruise but I just tried a quick ride with it advanced some and I thought it was a little better.
And Idle is set in the prom at 20 but gets its 4.9 from the spark@ idle vs coolant temp.
