I was looking a the series of numbers and letters on a silver sticker on the top of the prom and was wondering if I could tell was year model it is for. Or does it mean anything? I bought the chip from GM 2 years ago but do not remember what it fits. I know it is for a 3rd gen tpi but don't know what year, size motor, or what? The numbers go like this(just example, not actual numbers)

xxxx - 4 letters
1111 - 4 numbers
1111 - i think there is more numbers here

I know I could just put it in the programer a read the bin, but I haven't bought mine yet. Anyone know what it is?

Post them and we can tell you. But we need to see them first.

Well if it is just a bare Prom chip and not a calpack and truely is for a 3rd gen TPI, then it is for an 85 TPI 305F, as that was the only year they used a bare prom without a calpack attatched and only 305's were avialable for the Camaro/Firebird.

numbers
It is not a 85 version, as it has the limp mode chip, knock chip, and another on the memcal.

the numbers are

AXXF
1616
3075

those are the numbers on the prom.

Do you EVER READ what the people are saying? Again, the guy says he's got an 91 F-body and you are talkiing about 85 TPI cars. What does an 85 MAF car have to do with a 1991 SD car?

Stop confusing people with irrelevant information. This is the second time you've done this.

It's for a 1991 F-body 305 Auto car. But it will work for a 1990 and 1992 also.

Do YOU have a problem with EVERYONE here or just a select few of us? you seem to have a real bug up your butt.

NO WHERE did he state that the Prom was for HIS car. in fact to directly quote him

"I bought the chip from GM 2 years ago but do not remember what it fits. I know it is for a 3rd gen tpi but don't know what year, size motor, or what?"

Maybe YOU should read a little more and not be so quick to jump on others, failing that maybe just say nothing.

You do know that all 85 TPI ECMs (870s) only used a 3 letter BCC while he's clearly saying it has a 4 letter BCC (Memcal) and therefore could never be a 1985 ECM.

change
What would I have to change when burning the prom, to make it work on a 350? The injector size? VE tables? I am sure there is more but I don't know. It will be for a auto 350 SD7730.

It wouldn't be that hard to convert to a 350 - match the injector size to what you are running on the car and change the Cylinder Volume Constant. FYI, 305 19#s with a bit higher fuel pressure will work just fine on a basically stock L98.

But, why do all this work? Just get the AUJP Bin from www.diy-efi.org - it's designed for all L98 F-body cars (they are all autos). The spark tables will be a little bit more aggressive too (but you can still improve), since the AUJP is designed for 3.23 rear gears (instead of the 2.73s that the 305 auto uses).
