Map sensor and coil wire

I know this is not a prom burning problem so if it get locked or deleted that's OK, but I think that I have a better chance of finding out the answer in here.

I have a SuperRam and the MAP sensor is sitting at the very back of the plenum, now I want to mount the coil on the lip of the firewall on the passenger side. The only problem that I see is the coil wire is going to be running right over the top of the Map sensor, I am wondering if this will interfere with the MAP.

Would the coil wire create a magnetic field that could through the MAP off? I will be running MSD 8.5 super conductor wires.

ON a good day and with everything just perfect, probably not. Add some fractures in the carbon filaments in the wires, increased plug gap and higher firing voltages, being lean, and the RF might go hight enough to trash the sensor's output. I've seen heater fans when old generate enough RFI to mess up TPS, MAP, MAF outputs.

Thanks Grumpy, looks like I will need to make the coil wire a little longer so I can move it away from the MAP sensor.

If its not raining I'll be there.

I bringing the Z-28 with the Romulator, WBO2, and my Scan-grafix data loging software, a little show and tell for those that are interested.

Hope to see you there.
