Max air flow vs rpm?

Beneath the maf charts there is a chart that reads"max air flow vs rpm.In 6e it has in parenthesis diagnostic. What is it's purpose? And if diagnostic only in detail what would that be?thanks in advance.Oh btw this is using 32. A search showed nothing other than a hint on ski down its' post.

So an intermittent MAF problem triggers a code, if I'm not mistaken. ie when the voltage regulator goes, there can be splikes in the output. Or so I'm told.
