winaldl/laptop for tpi?
Sorry, Newbie to this new world of scanning/proms
can i use it? i just read the beginers article at the top of the mountain of stickies.. it said 160 baud... and tpi ran at over 8k baud? am i still good or did i download it all for nothing? I really want a scanner cause im always looking at camaros for sale and it would be a good idea to see whats wrong with the car or see what going on with it. now i have a 386 lap top with windows 3.1 in it.. i was thinking of putting a 1gig hd in it and also windows 95. is the 386 gunna have enuff prossesing power for scanning?

A 386 might not be quite enough, I know the 486's will work but with the 386 running win 95 you may be about maxed out. You can get a good working P120 laptop from E bay for about $50-$75, WITH an active matrix screen too.
