Grumpy, I have a request for a friend.

A buddy just called me because he finally did the upgraded ECM to his Buick GN. He now has an 87 ECM in an 85 car. He has put a mild cam in it with duration of 204/214 duration numbers as well as an intercooler.

I am asking if you may have a stock style .bin that we can use for the cold air setup he now has. GN's are completely new to me in terms of programming but I guess we just need a base .bin. I barely even know where to start looking for them nor what their call letters would be i.e. arap/apyp/aujp etc.

So, if you could somehow send me a .bin as a starting point or dirct me toward what I need that would be more than cool.

if sending, bradc@citywide.com

Bruce, HOW IN GODS NAME do you program a GN chip? Its in this funky looking holder that encases the whole EPROM quite unlike our F-Bod ones...

What do I do?

All the TBI cars use that holder.
Saturn 5 pointed you in the right direction.

Ok guys, I can't find a program to read those .rom files.

Also, all I really need is the chip ID? As in 27C128 or whatever...
