Havent a clue!?
I want to get into programming my chip when I get finished putting it back together. but I have no clues what it is i need to buy. I have read all the sticky's but Im just as confused as I was before. Can someone just point me in the right direction?
Just tell me what it is I need to buy and where? Tell me what you got that works and I'll buy exactly what you have so I dont have to search around for something I dont even know what is.
I would rather have the burner and stuff then come here for info. I just think it would be easier if I already had the stuff.
I would rather burn my own than spend money on somthing like fastchip and always think there more in it somewhere.
Thanks guys...

Did you read TRAX's intro article? I couldn't imagine being lost after that.
You're going to need something to read your sensors, like an AutoXray or computer software with a ALDL cable, so you can see what you engine is doing.
You're going to need software, like tunercat, to make changes to your prom, and save the changes to a bin file.
Then you'll need something to burn the image, like a Pocket Programmer, which connects to the computer and burns the image you've made.
Then you'll need a way to put the chip in the computer. Most people use a Moates adapter.
OR, you could wait for the AutoProm or Prominator to come out, and that will simplify some of the processes. The Prominator will take the place of the chips, the Moates adapter, and the chip burner. The AutoProm will take the places of those things and will also read the engine sensors for you, if you use TunerCat Pro.
I know I was a little vague on specific things to use, but those are all in TRAX's article.
Basically, you need:
1) Way to read engine sensors
2) Way to adjust prom settings
3) Way to burn chip
4) Way to place chip in computer

Honestly, I haven't burned a single PROM, but I've done a lot of research, and am waiting for the AutoProm and Prominator to come out so I don't have to buy a burner and stuff.
I've also managed to hook up my ECU to my laptop to read the sensors, which is a crucial step in knowing what to adjust.
