Injector and ECM info for 749
I am in the process of building a twin turbo Mopar 440. From everything I read, the 749 ECM should be able to handle the engine management activities.
I have a few of questions for the experts.
What kind of injectors do I need so that the 749 will be happy firing 8 injectors.
Where would I be able to find a bin file that is already converted to 8 cyl and use as a base to get the engine running.
I have also read that the 730 ECM will run the 749 code. Is there an advantage to using the 730? Especially with a turbo application?

If you stick to saturated, high impedance injectors your fine. And with 60 PPH ones available now, that should take care of all but the most radical of engines. Conservatively that'd put you at 780 HP.
Using the 749 will let your use the Wastegate logic for something if you want.
To change the .bin for 8 cyl is just changing one entry.
On something like what you got, it'll probably about start with any .bin, and any one's going to take time to dial in.

There are two options, Saturated at over 10, and Peak and hold that are less then 3.

Tom, what do you plan to do for the ref signal from the distributor to the ECM? If you have a new or old way of doing it, I'm interested in knowing how. I guess you could use an MSD 6a or something, since they have a nice tach output (not sure of voltage, may be 12V, I believe GM ECMs need a 5V sqaure wave).
Is there a nice signal from the Mopar electronic ignition?

Hey RednGold,
I am planning on using a Mopar electronic ditributor called the Lean Burn. It supposedly interfaces directly to the GM HEI module.
If you have any other questions or have some info please feel free.
