Starting address?

Transmission: T56
Axle/Gears: 3.45 9 Bolt
Starting address?
My friend is trying to burn me a generic chip to start my engine basically but we are having a problem getting the prom to program properly. After loading the bin and programming the the prom there are errors. He has a PP2 I think and the prom is what I got from Craig Moates, the 27SF512. Only thing I can think of is that we need to set the start and ending address? I am running a 7730 computer.
Any help is appreciated.
