newbe questions
Ok. I'm just getting myself into working with new bins. I have just installed a Prominator Pro. I have the 165 computer. I downloaded the ARAP 6E bins to my car. ( Not sure if this was the right bin to start with or not??).After loading the 6E bin I took the car for a ride . No check engine light, car ran awesome. I stopped at a stop sign and the check engine light came on and the car just barly ran. Afew seconds later the light went out and it ran awesome again. This kept happening. I'm trying to use the TunerPro to help dial the computer in but I'm not having much luck with that. TunerPro is looking for the com. port cable for info, but the Prominator ribbon cable attaches to the printer port. Not sure if the Tuner Pro supports the Prominator or do I need to use something else? My mods are listed below if that helps. Thanks for any help you guys might have to offer.

The only advice I can give is that TunerPro does not support the Prominator as of yet. I believe version 4.0 will support it. I myself am like you, a newbie and still waiting to receive my Prominator. I'll keep an eye on your thread in hopes to pick up some more knowledge.

Thanks for getting back to me so fast about the TunerPro not working with the Prominator. Does anyone know of a program that will work with the Prominator to help edit the bins?

I didnt realize that the prominator didnt support tunerpro. this is interesting as i was planning on using the two together. Are there any other free tuning programs?
What about an option in tunerpro to change it from using the com port to printer port? or an adapter from radio shack/best buy to plug the printer port into a com port? just ideas, dont know if either exist.

Sorry I missed this earlier.
The Prominator has its own stand-alone software that is quick and easy to use. You can certainly edit in TunerPro and upload using the Romulator software.
As Magman mentioned, 4.0 will have direct in-editor Prominator support.
There is no converter that will make it work. Its all controlled by the software. (We software engineers like having complete control... mwaaahahahaha).
