2 code 34 questions

1) when i have code 34 the car drives fine, but does the computer still use the maf? If it still uses the maf, then i think my maf isn't even broken.

2) my code 34 turns on right after start up. If my maf really isn't broken, is there a value I can change in the bin so that the computer doesn't think the maf is broken?

Have you tried cleaning the throttle body or checked its adjustment.

yah i cleaned it all out, even the iac passages and stuff, the tb is aligned properly, but do you mean the maf alignemnt? the maf is angled up some, with the high side towards the fender, do you think this could cause code 34 at startup?

I can't say for sure that it would, but it probably wouldn't hurt to straighten it out and try it.
