hot start issue
now that north carolina's summer heat is here, been having some warm and hot start issues. cold first start of the morning is fine. after it warms up and sits for more than 10 min., it takes a solid 15-20 cranks for her to fire. have gone high and low values with crank fuel tables and startup spark to minimal improvement. if i crack the throttle after a few rotations she will fire up. if thats the case should i consentrate on increasing the reference pulse table since the crank fuel vs. TPS is a multiplier value? anyone with a similiar combo have this issue?

Sound like you have a fuel leakdown into the intake (FPR / Injectors). Does the exhaust have a grey/dark color to it when it fires after sitting for that amouont of time?

This is not a fix, however, if it fuel leak down it will help get it started more quickly until the injectors are replaced.

Also, as a remote thing, there might not be any spark when just running on the modile, ie the EST line stuff is fubar'd. So at over 375 RPM the EST goes active and then the engine will start.

leakdown was my first suspicion. when i swapped out for the superram, i pulled the fuel rail and watched to see if i had any leakdown and all was good at 48psi.
right now i am running 60-70 steps at idle. should i open up the TB a little to get the IAC's up towards the 140-150 range? i am also parking the IAC at about 50 counts because that is where it likes to currently idle when warmed up. thanks for the reply's

Try to get idle steps down in the teens and see how that works.
But I was not speaking od Idle steps before, I was speaking of startup steps.
