749 Spark table question...
The main spark table in the 749 code for the sy/ty seems to have a LOT less advance then the stock 305 bin for a sd car.
I was wondering if it would be a good idea to swap the timing tables into the 749 code from lets say the aujp bin, and calculate the rest of the tables in the 100+ kpa areas based on the current numbers there in the 749 code? THe 749 code has other areas that have effect on advancing and retarding the spark based on kpa, and boost levels?
Anyone else done this idea with the 749 code and the spark tables?
PJ

That's as good a starting approach as any. If you have some knowledge (or a good "feel") for what the spark advance should be, by all means change the table. Remember, if in doubt, stay conservative....
Yep. There's a table to modify spark based on MAT and boost available, too.

In $58 there is also a "SA retard vs Boost vs MAT" that takes out 1.8deg as soon as you go into boost.
(if I'm reading it right...)
