WB question

Considering to buy a WB sensor to tune WOT and all related stuffs I have a simply question:
In order to have the car run properly in CLOSED LOOP is it always required to have a Narrow Band stock O2 sensor?...
..Or the old NB sensor can be replaced by the new one? In this way the ECM can recognize the feedback of the new WB sensor?
..Or they should be hoked up both? (example: one on the left and the other on the right?)
(The NB connected to ECM as per stock design, and the WB connected to the AFR display or laptop as Zeitronix design)
Thanks
I haven't find an answer to this question on the archivied posts...

you need a NB 02 to get the closed loop working. The ECM will go nuts if you plug in a WB 02. Just use both. NB for closed loops. ANd WB for PE, using a laptop or what ever you whant to monitor the WB readings

the zeitronix zt-2 does have a simulated NB output for connecting up to your stock ecu.
I think there was one person who said it worked fine for normal ecu operation over on this post https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...=&pagenumber=3
