turning off egr diagnostics
I'm getting an EGR diagnostics error upon startup when cold only. Below are the instructions from RBob. I have set the EGR disable temp if less than X to 255 degrees F and the only bit 3 checked off is airflow table #4 in tunerpro and it's designated as CCPin with a description of 'IF CC CHANGE, FORCE INT TO 128'. I am not sure what that means, but it does sound like something that should be checked off. I still get the error code on a cold startup. I am running the 165ecm with 6E ARAP bin and am using tunerpro.
EXACTLY how can I go in to the hex editor and disable this feature??? I am new to this so some specific instructions would be of great help
"I would just set the MAT threshold as high as possible:
LC247: 255 ; Disable EGR if MAT < x
Also unset the diag flag:
LC1DE: 0xC6 ; bit 3 is off (no check mark)
This will keep the EGR off along with the diagnostics. ""
RBob.
Thanks to RBob for earlier giving me an overview of what needs to be done, but I am not familiar with the hex editor in tunerpro and none of the lines seem to match the one suggested.
Thanks,
chris
