Stall Saver $6E

Running $6E, After reading another post, it sounds like if I reduce RPM in my Stall Savers the car is less likely to stall. I have stalling problems/low rpm issues when shifting in and out of gear. Will changing the stall saver help me? It would make sense to raise the idle point but the other post said they found out that it was backwards. Any insight?

Stall saver just puts spark control to the ignition module and your base timing is used. The real fix is to prevent the RPMs from going that low by using proper fuel mixture, spark, and IAC (idle air control stepper motor) position.

I solved my stalling problem on my MAFed 395 cu in engine by getting the IAC steps at idle down very low, like about 10 counts. I would recommend that you do the minimum air procedure and set the RPM without IAC control to 100 RPM below what you want the engine to idle at.
