"Manual Trans" byte not checked even on manual bins. What?? 6E w/ Tunerpro
Hi guys, it's snowing here so I can't take the camaro out of the garage (otherwise it would get wet and therefore dirty!). To keep myself busy I've been reading through the (very incomplete) 6E notated bin and comparing its notes to Tunerpro. One thing I've been noticing is that the notated bin has the 1st "Air flow mode Word" as Manual Trans , at location 14 byte 0. Tunerpro RT shows this Manual Trans checkbox at the same location under the Word 1 list. BUT, whether I open a known factory manual bin (APYP or a 5 sp. manual 305 bin I also have) or auto bins, this Manual Trans box is not checked (and the checkbox does indeed change the value in the hex, I checked this and verified). Why do the manual bins not have the manual byte on? I have been modifying the APYP for my 4 speed Muncie application, and I'm just curious to know what checking this manual box will do. Is the manual logic just built into other features of the factory manual bins, ie timing/ae/pe/throttle follower, etc, so the manual byte isn't needed?

Note that there are two manual trans flags in $6E. Also note: no one really knows what they're for.
