VE and Spark table transfer from $8d to $58

I am in the process of changing from 7730 $8d to 7749 $58.

My question is can I take the VE and Spark tables , below boost of course, and transfer the values to the $58 tables to have a starting point?

I had my car well tuned with the $8d and was wondering if it would be a better starting point than the values found in the ty/sy $58bin that is a 6 cylinder.

I would appreciate some feed back.

You could but I wouldn't really recommend copy and paste. It would work rather well with a centerfugal blower but not so well with a turbo. Having a turbine in the exhaust can lower you're VE when approaching only 1bar, I'd start with taking out 2 degrees everywhere and then 2 more out at the higher loads say 80kpa and up. This should give you a great starting point and SNEAK up on the timing. That's how I'd start if it were turbo and the motor wasn't a stock 305 or 350 with stock heads, which in that case I'd look at using the sy/ty as a base and doing some blending depending on the cam.

8D uses inj constant, 58 BPC. So given time you could jiggle the BPC to kinda work out. An ecm bench is great for that sort of work.

Spark should be close, with using your 8D values.
