Prom Burning Equipment?

Okay, to start this off it is really late at night so I don't really want to do a search for this at the moment. I have been searching for other things and I am getting tired and need to head to bed. What I am wanting to know is what equipment is needed to burn your own chips. I was looking into getting one of jet chips or a hypertech chip but most people keep saying to burn your own. Well if anyone can help me into what parts and equipment I need to buy to start burning my own chips, I would greatly appreciate it.

You should get an ostrich to be able to modify your ECM and an ALDL cable to read data from it. Both are available here. You will also need CATS or Tunerpro RT and some form of datalogging software.
