Tuning with a 4-speed

I was thinkin about putting in a 4-speed, but I also want to be able to tune it down the road for a turbo. Will this be difficult. I thought I read somewhere that there are different masks for an auto and a stick. Any help would be great. Thanks.

Correct there are manual and auto bins.
An auto is more suited to a turbo unless you are adept at shifting.
Also the commonly used turbo bin is for an auto.
Will take a little more work to get it to be happy behind a MT.

Tuning wise, a non stock MT app takes a little more tuning for driveability but is the same for WOT use.

Unless your going with a small low hp setup, no stock 4spd will last long in a turbo setup. Assuming you try and make it hook up.

manuals typically require less spark advace and will tolerate less total advance then an automtaic. they generate more direct load. with a turbo engine this will be exacerbated greatly. so youll have to do all your tunning in the highest gear possable to simulate the maximum load the vehicle can generate.

$58 mask has both options.

A simple flag change from auto to stick, also has shift light.

Code:
0x0332	KAFOPT1_0	BPW Mod (On) / EGR Mod (Off)	On
0x0332	KAFOPT1_3	Optional Exponential Crank A/F Timeout	Enabled
0x0332	KAFOPT1_5	Calculate MPG For HUD	Enabled
0x0332	KAFOPT1_7	Manual Shift Logic (On) / Automatic TCC Logic (Off)	Off
0x0333	KAFOPT2_1	6.25ms IAC output (On) / 3.125ms IAC Output (Off)	Off
0x0333	KAFOPT2_2	A/C V5 Fan Discrete Option Selected	Disabled
0x0333	KAFOPT2_3	MAT Option for V5 Cooling Fan Logic (Cold)	Disabled
