VEmaster Source Code Released Under GPL!
I emailed Joe Georger, the maker of VE Master and asked if he would be willing to release the code. He is a very nice and helpful guy and released the code under General Public License. I tried posting the code on Moates site but it gave me an error "file to large", it's only 2.1 megs. Joe should be posting the code on his website sometime soon but until then you can email Joe (email address on his website) or myself and I can forward it to you.
I am working towards for a minor in computer science but do not have enough C++ under my belt to fully understand the code but until them I'm sure someone else would like to work on it.
Here are some features that would be great to add:
- Add a second dialog box so you can save to a different output file name, instead of over righting the input binary file (very easy to do)
- Feature to select how aggressive it is at adjusting the VE tables. For example when I used this software on my friends heavily modified 350 it took a long time to get the BLM's to 128 since the tune was so far off.
EDIT: The source can now be found here from http://gearhead-efi.com/gearhead-efi...ous%20Uploads/ under file name vemaster2_source.zip

I'd be glad to host it. Sorry if the upload warnings kicked up. Just let me know offline, and I'll do what I need to and make it available...

Don't know what the problem is, but I requested this source right after this post and still haven't received it. I suspect they're really busy on something else for now, so just be patient and I'm sure they'll get back to us...

Re: VEmaster Source Code Released Under GPL!
It doesn't really have anything to do with tunerpro. You can use it with logs created from freescan, and you could see what modifications it has made with tunerpro. You could also use logs created with datamaster and check the modifications vemaster makes with tunerpro as well. Using logs from datamaster and freescan should in theory yield the same results.

Personally I have had good results running my LT1 in speed density mode using VEMaster to help tune using logs created with freescan.

... freescan is a software program or part of VE master? - do you have a link from where I can download this by chance? and thanks btw.

Although the 20 free trial scans in Datmaster are better.
