Just got my ALDL cable...but I have questions
Hey all. I bought an ALDL cable from ALDLCABLES.com. The connector clips right into the port under the driverside seat however this cable is weird (well maybe not but we will see). This cable has a line coming off of it with a 12V power line that plugs into the 12V accessorry (cigarette) lighter. Do you need to plug this in in order to datalog?

Oh I just noticed it came with a resistor and some aligator clamps. Is this needed only if you have a TPI based engine? If so then I don't need that.
