a few questions to get me started..
ive been checking out moates and it looks like everything to get me started can be had thier.
GP1 Package
now heres my question, does my stock prom come out and i plug this moates adapter in thier and then plug the new proms straight into the g1 adapter? and then whats this zif thingy i get in the package as well?

ZIF ( Zero Insert Force I think its means) is just a adapter to make it easier to change proms without bending its legs, buy it......

You would put the G1 in and then put your stock memcal onto the G1.
The G1 will hold a new chip as the one on the memcal is bypassed completely for operation.
The ZIF just makes putting the new chip in easier (and for swapping) without having to force it in/out each time.
Heres a diagram of how a G3 goes in, The G1 is similar but does not have the bin switching capability. There's also some pics in the installation on Craig's site too.
