I'll have to get Bil to call the contract outfit that's assembling them to find out - but I'm sure they probably won't be open until Monday. I'll try to post something soon.

Time for an update!
I talked to Bill yesterday and he's talked with the assembler. We had a supply issue with the main chip (cpld) for a couple of weeks so that has set us back that far. We should be able to ship them out by the end of the month however.
If you have any questions feel free to e-mail me or post here. You'll get a much quicker response if you e-mail me though.

I'll bet they've just about got them ready. I know the first round on these sorts of things is a bear, to get the PCB layout just right and marked up for the 'other guys' to make it up. Then there's parts sourcing and all the delays around the holidays are just about unbearable.

Hey guys, according to Bill we are supposed to get our batch today - that means that Bill still has to do his part (configure them, install them on MEMCAL adapters, etc.) Then they'll be shipped out to you. For those of you who sent me TBI ECM's, Bill will configure yours, then send it to me to install into your ECM. Then I'll be shipping it to you after I test it to make sure everything went well. (I have a test bench from Saturn5 that I just finished, and adapters to test '7747/'8746.)
Hopefully you'll have them in your hands in a couple of weeks or less?
Once again guys, I'm really sorry for all the delays but Craig pretty much took the words right out of my mouth; we had some delay in getting the CPLD's which set us back several weeks. The source we DID have originally sold all of the ones that were slated for us, then gave us a 10-week lead time. Needless to say, we didn't buy from them.

Talked to Bill and he said he's finishing them up - he should be shipping them this weekend! If you are having yours installed in an '8746 it will be shipped to me first though, and I will install it and ship it to you.

The BIN switchers just have a jumper cable about 2' long or so. They come enclosed in a little black box with a dimmer switch on it. There's a header on the Prominator for the other end.

Bill has already shipped me some units to install in ECM's, I think he's shipping the rest from his place at the end of this week, he had problems with some of the memory.
I have to say, I really appreciate all the patience y'all have shown and I'm surprised you haven't wanted to strangle us yet. We actually had several failures from the manufacturer but they won't affect the group buy at least. I know this is far from the 4-6 weeks we originally promised but you WILL get your Prominators very soon!
I anticipate getting the package from Bill tomorrow, and I'll be sitting down and installing those that night, and hopefully shipping Thursday morning. I believe there's one person off here that is having me install one into his '8746.
The rest were all TPI - MEMCAL mounted units so they will just come straight from Bill.

Speaking for myself...... I have no problem waiting, if your having trouble, as I live in the rust.. I mean snowbelt. Until it melts and the rain has had a chance to wash the salt off the streets, my car will sit. In short, it will be a little while till I have a chance to play with it.

Matt

Mine arrived yesterday... a bit like a late Christmas present, actually... The switches aren't available yet but I was told they might be done this weekend. Now I really need to get working on that heater core...
Thanks, Ken, for this GP.

Got my switch yesterday as well. I second the request for some simple directions. I thought there were some on the website, but there's not much there.

I got my Prominator installed a few days ago. First I downloaded the Prominator flash software from their web site http://misterbill.homeip.net/software.asp. This is the software you need to load bins to the prominator. Just plug the cables that came with the Prominator into the parallel port on your laptop. The program is pretty simple and it only takes a few seconds. You need to have the ignition turned on so the ecm is powered when you flash.
As far as the bin switch goes, thats a simple plug and play as well. Ken told me that you just put the switch in the position you want to load the bin into. For instance if you want position 2 to be your drag strip bin, then set the switch to position 2 when you flash in that bin. I believe you can switch bins on the fly without powering down the ignition.

Primo, did you get yours yet?? I think we've sent all but one out, and it's going to the Netherlands.
For the BIN switcher, it just plugs in - should be polarized so you can't get it backwards.
To use it, simply select the position you want to load a BIN into, and either use our software or Mark's TunerPro and upload your BIN! It is now in that position. Switch to the next position and upload your next BIN.
Sorry we didn't have instructions on the website, I'll see about writing something up and putting it on there.
Hint: I REALLY like Mark's TunerPro.. spend a few bucks on his RT version!!!

Ok, thanks for that link on the install, but how do you know if the memcal is re-installed on the adapter correctly? It'll go on either way. I've got a 7730, but it was close enuff to the one shown on Moates' site.
Also, if you don't have the switcher, do you need to load stacked bins?

Hey Ken, Im just asking to make sure I havnt missed it. Did you send mine already?
I had given you the wrong zip initially and when I made the correction had sent you the 35 for the bin switcher.
Not trying to rush you, I just would like a heads up when your sending it so that I may keep an eye out for it.
Best regards,
Matt

Matt, yours went out the other day. Should be to you shortly.
You CANNOT stack BINs with a Prominator. That's what the BIN switcher is for.
As for putting the MEMCAL in backwards, it should be polarized for when it's installed in the ECM (without the Prominator) .. just install it on the Prominator in the same direction.
