DA2-DA3 to $8d or vice versa?

Has anybody looked into the 92-93 LT1 bins and getting them to work on a 7727 computer or using a 16159278 computer with a DA2 or 3 bin on gen1 motor? They are for bank fired opti-spark motors that do not use a crank position sensor. My initial interest was because the $8d bins do have a right O2 sensor error code but it appears that they removed this from the code as I have not found a $8d bin that uses dual O2's. I was thinking about the dual O2's because of the split BLM issue with LT1 intakes and I believe the older cars probably have the same issue but it is not known since only one O2 sensor is used.
The DA2-DA3 gives 2 more years of development along with VE tables that go to 7k, etc. They may also be able to correct for the differences between banks. I am not sure if we can make the bins work with just repinning the 7727/7730 or if I can repin the newer computer and use a new bin without a hac to change the opti code to a hei setup. Any thoughts on this? I have not found the hac code for the bin or the computer schematics but I do know that people have asked the question before. Error codes, etc are almost identical. The computers look identical from the outside.

If you really want to move forward in a serious manner, porting the 8D to work in a 2240 is the answer. Its true SEFI, and takes just some distributor changes to work. ie adding a Hall efffect sensor.

2240? Please clarify. I did some checking and it does appear that some people have taken the guts from a LT1 opti and put it into a hei but it is not an easy swap so that is out for me. My thoughts were more towards a new definition to take advantage the newer bins while being able to adapt what I currently have to use it. The 96+ trucks would do it plus give an electronic tranny control in one shot. -Again too much to change out for now.
