AE MAF Tuning -- did search but have practical questions
Hi guys, I am currently getting into fine tuning the AE on my 6E MAF Stealth Rammed 327. I have read posts on the subject but still don't know what exactly I should start modifying in the 5 AE tables. I am told I need more AE due to the stealth ram's large plenum volume. Now that I have my over rich idle leaned out, lean AE has reared its head, even free revving the car from idle. I am especially interested in any work people have done with MAF Stealth Ram or similar larger than stock plenum setups.

i think i found some info in one of the threads here, and saved a snip of the text. I have to dig it up, so bear with me, its on my memory stick at home, so I might not reply for a day. But I recall someone posted the changes they needed to convert to an HSR, and posted the critical parameters, etc, as far as AE, and that kind of stuff. Keep digging though, I got from a thread here, but i dunno what i searched on, so it is here somewhere.

jws I found the thread about what someone changed to go to HSR, it is still on the board. The changes they made to the pulse correction seemed wrong though -- the stock values are all .5 and they listed values in the 3.xx range. Who knows though, I can try what they posted and see what happens

Did you increase the "Max airflow vs RPM" table by about a factor of 2? If not, do it, this can cause a lot of low RPM AE problems with free breathing engines.
Next, I set all of the "AE %BPW factor vs async" to 0.5 . From that I would just play with the AE tables until you get a wideband and can do some real good comparisons of the AE. The stock AE code with the $6E is pretty good and doesn't require much tweaking, even on modified motors.
