just bought everything off moates, need help

i just bought everything i need off moates.net to burn my own chips. right now i have a 350 with 305 heads, it is a fairly mild setup, still running a MAF sensor in my stock TPI system from the original 305. i also just bought a fairly big lunati hydraulic flat tappet camshaft. it has 227in duration at .050, and 489in valve lift. my question is, will i be able to burn a chip for that cam, and a set of new nice flowing heads, while still keeping my stock MAF sensor? or will i have to upgrade, or change to MAP sensor.

also can i still keep the same base on the chip that i have, or do i have to change a lot of different things if i still keep it MAF sensor controlled?

There's a million opinions to this..

IMO, if all you want is to go drag racing, then you can get by with the MAF. If you want a truely civilized ride, then MAP would be a better answer.

Spending a day or two searching for MAP, and MAP will getcha all sorts of opinions. Then you have to sort thur who it is you think is more correct.

I never tuned a maf system, but most agree there more forgiving than map system. I'd stick with the maf since you already have it give it a try, do some learnin with it and see if it will work for you. Biggest problem with the maf system is the 255 gram limit in the ecm, not the maf itself, as for airflow it can see, but you can tune around it not ideal but it works. I have a little bigger cam than yours in my map car with a tight lobe sepparation I tuned , got her running pretty good, using all Craig (THE MAN) Moates products and Marks TunerPro. Just jump in there, take good notes, make change slowly, you wont be sorry, be careful its addicting (lol).
