unless you have a significantly modified 383 (large cam, big heads) you should be able to start just fine with a base 350 TPI cal for 89.
Or just go to 8D/730, set the cyl volume and go from there.

I will be using edelbrock victor jr heads which have 215 runners. I will also be going 226/232 112lsa cam 0.55 lift. I currently have a 305tpi with maf. Does any of this change your reccomendations?

Well, set both injector constants to the correct flow rate for your injectors/psi. Set the base timing a little higher ~ 12 ish (for the cam) - actual on the engine, and in the bin. Probably can use the ARAP bin as a starter or AUJM (newer than ARAP, but for iron heads). If ARAP, you'll have to change the fan bit so that the fans operate the correct way (I've never done it, so there may be a few other things to switch). Disable EGR in the bin (doubt those heads have the crossover for it). Your MAF tables might be a little off due to being Gutted, so play with those first once it's up and running.
Oh, you could start by downloading the bin off your current "custom" chip.
