EBL and WB02s

I always hear/read about people buying these really expensive WB02 kits, is anything besides the sensor itself needed for the EBL? Can I just plug it directly into one of the ports and have the data come up on my laptop when using the WUD? The sensor itself is like $80 where as the kits are around $400, right now $80 is do-able. I have zero knowledge of WB's but I was hoping to start out with good news like "sure you can use just the sensor just hook it up like so"

You need a controller. There are ones less expensive then 4 bills. I believe the LC1 is < $200. This is a basic controller and sensor, no display. That is all that is required when data logging.

Definitely better than $400 but I'm still going to have to wait a bit, I will get one before I do the cam swap though since I want to get some experience with it before tackling programming a cam change.
