What cable/scan tool/software do I need?
I have an 85 tpi iroc and was wondering what scan tool to go with. i have a laptop but need software and a cable. Please help! thanks, Mike

There are many scan tools available. See the first installment of the PROM burning article in the tech section. Its at the end of the article. HOWEVER, in Pablo's own words, don't waste your money. Your ECM has a very slow baud rate (160). This means that it does not send as many electronic updates through the ALDL port. I think that you might get one every 2 seconds (or something like that). If you feel that you 'need' a scan tool then go for one of the cheaper ones that updates every second instead of one of the more fancy ones that updates about 10 times a second. A good choice would be an AutoXRay or to download free software from the internet and buy a cable from AKM.
