Traxion a quick question

You said that the hypertech chip is easy to work with, because the prom just slips in and out. Do other brands do the same??? I ask because there seems to be a lot of ADS chips on ebay. Anything to watch out for based on year/motor issues?

I'm not sure. Has anyone here worked with an ADS chip of the MemCal design? I would think that they -are- of the same design as the hypertech because it saves them money. But, since I haven't actually worked with an ADS chip I can't say for sure.

Thanks anyway, I'll just have to call them and find out.

The ADS has a different design than the hypertech, IMO its a really cheap setup, but it does work. And the chip is easily removeable. One problem I noticed is you can stick it in the ECM either way, there are no tabs to prevent you from putting it in wrong, so make sure you put arrows on it (they come that way, but its taped on).
