Injector Flow constant

I was curious about the injector flow rate setting that you can tweak in TunerCAT. My stock 305 is set to 20.8 lbs or so in the chip. What does this do. If I set this to say 22...would it lean the mixture out some? Or is this just a reference number that has no affect on anything else. I find that hard to believe...but I thought I'd ask. Also, what's the difference between single fire and double fire?

Thanks

Mine was also set at 20.7 lbs/hr, so I left it. I think if you set it higher, it would lean it out in open loop only since the computer would adjust the pulse widths in closed loop to bring the AFR back to stoichiometric. I had my first '89 chip set at 19.3 lbs/hr and it ran rougher at idle when it was warming up. I've changed that but haven't re-tested yet.

Our cars are double-fire (aka: batch fire) while the '94+ 4th-gens are single-fit (sequential). I'm not sure if any 3rd-gens were single-fire, maybe the later V6's...
