Speed-Pro DFI HELP!!

My buddy is running a Speed-Pro SFI setup on his drag car and we're having a ***** of a time trying to tune it.

He bought it brand new a few months ago, and it only came with a little 38 page "booklet" about how to use it. It looks like a quick refrence book for a larger manual.

He said that's all he got with it, and nobody he knows has another manual for it.

It just tells the basics on how it works, it doesn't even tell what keys to use.

Is there a larger manual for this setup? If so, where can we get one?

The WOT maps are about perfect, but we can't get the idle and IAC to work right. We're also looking for more info on the data mapping capabilities.

We're running a 406 with 30#s of boost, our best time so far is an 8.40@167.

If anyone has any info on this PLEASE let us know ASAP!

Thanks,

John

My buddy has a DFI on his 350 TPI truck. I read that same "quick reference" guide just last weekend and thought the same thing. I remember that was the only book that came with the unit.

Your best bet is to take it to a qualified DFI tech with a chassis dyno and set it up right. There are so many variances that a chassis dyno is really the only true way to tune a DFI. Especially if your friend is running that fast!!

That's what I keep hearing....

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on the book that "qualified" DFI techs use?

try getting a hold of force fuel injection. I was thinking of getting that setup for my car also, but I think it takes alot of time to set up a sequential computer. So ill probably go with accel dfi. Last time i was at the track there was a with a mustang with a 4.6 with 28 lbs of boost and it was running high 8's he had a electromotive setup and was having a hell of a time getting it dialed in. They even had a rep from virginia down here trying to straighten it out and he was having ahell of a time. Was pretty dam fast enough for me. Anyways here is their link http://force-efi.com/
