What effect does NO2 have on prom programming?

I am looking at adding NO2 to my setup. (I'll skip my reasoning).

Most NO2 setups I have seen us fuel and NO2 with jetting. Will the ECM be able to figure out what the heck is going on and add more fuel if it needs it? I kinda doubt it since it already measured the air coming in via the MAF, so any additional air from the NO2 will be unmeasured.

I would really like a setup that would see if you are running too lean with NO2 and add fuel. I assume the 165 ECM would be fast enough to see the O2 go lean, although does it read the O2 at WOT? IF not, would "fooling" the ECM into thinking it was at 3/4 throttle be better?

the oem O2 sensors as used on the 3rd gens are of a switching type, Period. less then .44v is lean, and >,44 is richer then 14.7:1 ADR. No more no less, those that think otherwise are poorly informed. But, it's been repeated so often that tune to this voltage is good, that it's become a standard to some as a way to tune.

Anyway, to do a WOT Closed Loop system means using a Speedpro ecm, with the WB O2 option, figure about $2K, for the unit and sensor, and then $400-$600 for every new sensor.

You also have to tune the SP to find out what the engine actually likes best, the SP just TRIES to keep the engine there.

If you want to run 14.7:1 AFR at WOT just set the % TPS enables for PE to 99.

The only thing NOS wise you can use the ecm for is turning it on by say moving the charcoal canister enables around

Thats why you add both fuel and nitrous thru the jets, to compensate for the extra power. You shoot the nitrous in after the MAF sensor, so that has no effect. You should ask these questions on the power adder forum, they would have more knowledge. Nitrous works just fine on the stock computer and chip, just retard the timing a little bit, and you're good to go.

Grumpy,

No I am not interested in 14.7 at WOT, rather just some method to make sure I don't lean out. Perhaps a widebad O2 and a simple circuit to cut off the NO2 if it goes lean.

I do like your idea on using the purge solinoid. I am not familiar with the settings on it. Can I configure the ecm to enable the purge solinoid circuit at WOT past a certain MPH? I will have to look at what I can adjust.

Kevin, My apologies for posting on this forum. My question was more so about what I can do in the prom in regards to NO2 and bascially that is nothing. So off I go to the power adder board.
