guess i was a little harsh get's tiring to try to learn when people are begging for chips.especally when you think you mught be able to help them solve their QUICK QUESTION as the title implies.

for i find it most likely impossable that anyone here would sell their time and effort for anything less than a custom prom would cost.

that is unless they wanted to expermint on your car incase it go's booom!

Take it easy. No need to start telling people that it sucks to be them.

GeneralHazzard:
I doubt that you will find someone here who will do a custom PROM for you. This board is mainly for those who need help with learning to program their own custom PROMs.

Damn you guys are mean. If i had a burner i'd at least burn you something generic that would get you running. Unless i'm wrong, it seems like that is all he is asking for.
...stepping out before people hate me, and i may need help soon enough...ed

Ed,

I understand where you are coming from. At one time I thought the same thing. However, you can run into some very big problems with doing things such as what you have suggested. First, you don't really know the person whom you are burning a chip for. That can cause problems in itself. But, the biggest problems come when the chip that you have so graciously programmed for someone does not work with their car ... either because they fooked it up, you fooked it up, or the mail fooked it up. Big problems can happen. The next thing you know you are getting blasted with nasty e-mails because it is not working as they want it to. Or, just blasted with e-mails because now an individual is relying on you to do it for them. It becomes very complex even though you are basically just trying to help someone.

As a rule of thumb I never burn custom chips for anyone. There are exceptions ... but, that is my rule of thumb.
