Well, more like the connector from aldl to the pc... I got the Max232ACPE is this the correct chip?

I assume that you are trying to make a universal adapter for 160 and 8192 baud. In my scematic that I have handy it shows just a plain "MAX232" with no suffix. But there is a note that says if you use a MAX232A you have to change the Capacitor to a 0.1 uF and the pinout is different but the principal is the same. From what you write I think you have the MAX232A and I wouls ASSUME that all you need to do is make sure that your pinout is correct and use the different Capacitor and everytghing should be fine for you.
