First, go to Traxion's excellent article on Programming your PROM https://www.thirdgen.org/newdesign/tech/promintro.shtml It has excellent links to various sites, and explains EVERYTHING in on convenient location or provides a link to it.
Also, scope out Bruce Plecan's Tuning Tips 101 http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/S.../prog_101.html This is probably the most difficult part about PROM burning, but Bruce's article DEFINITELY gets you pointed in the right direction.
Lastly go to ECMGUY's page http://www.geocities.com/ecmguy.geo/ which also has a lot of great info. Many of the links are common.
I found that with those 3 basic links, and following EVERY link those link provided that I had a fairly good handle on what I needed, where to get it and how to do it. I am now in the phase of learing how to do it right...but I have to wait for Christmas when I get my toys (I bought them and gave them to the wife to wrap for me). It was the only way I could be sure of getting EXACTLY what I wanted for Christmas.
And one last time, set the "Topic" on the top right hand corner of the PROM Board's main page to find ALL POSTS within the last year (overkill actually) and start from the oldest post and work backwards.
I found virtually ALL of the few remaining questions I wished to be answered already answered. And I learnt quickly that the guys here, are tired of replying the SAME QUESTION a DOZEN TIMES. Especially when the same question HAS BEEN ANSWERED A DOZEN TIMES.
You don't want to make Grumpy grumpy? He gets grumpy (at best) or ignores you (worst).

It's more about meds (I *was* taking several grams {yes grams, not mg}), and they lead to that *symtom* of seeming that way, or my less then perfect command of the english language. Depending on work load, I don't read all the postings, but do reply to emails if your having a problem.
I'm excited about the **new** generation of guys taking such an interest in this stuff.

Well Bruce, I hope I have some good questions for you soon. I have been doing a lot of Diacom+ captures, noticing a variety of relationships. As you would say, I am learning to read "what my motor is telling me".
I also have some unique issues where I live...great elevation variations (near sea level to over 5,000 feet) and a very wide temperture range (sub 0 weather in the winter to 100+* weather in summer). My first goal is "walk" and concentrate on getting my engine to run it best it possibly can in normal driving and then take on WOT (when the weather permits).
Lastly, I then will attempt to make various mods and hopefully apply what I've learnt. This is going to be an interesting summer.
