Shaved four tenths tonite

Tonite I decided it's time I tweak the bin I'm running a little more. Well I gave it more timing starting at 3000 RPM or so. Added about 4-5 degrees of timing all across the board and also added 3 degrees in the WOT Advance vs. RPM table. The engine responded nicely with a 13.1 at 107 on the g-tech! I'm so happy I just felt the need to share. hehe

My old system is just too marginal.

Good job Blade. It doesn't hurt to be brave and experiment a little bit!!
Ignition timing plays a big role on how an engine runs. I have read some articles on it, and since our spark advance is electronically controlled, the only way to modify the ignition curve is thru the chip programming.

The old days of changing weights, springs, and vacuum advance are long gone!!!

I can't wait to get into it myself.

Congrats.

Thats the best thing with computer controled timing. You can pull some out here or add some there untill your heart is content. The best way to go about it is ignore the old train of thought of linear timing curves. These arent the old days with mechanical distributors.
