quick question about ALDL interface cable
quick question about ALDL interface cable
ok the chip that i have is a MAX232ACPE but the one in this diagram is a 232 and all the schematics/parts lists i see have the 232 not the 232A. the 232a is just a faster chip right? Do i need to make any changes to the board setup?

Dude, check out this site, it explains the difference if you use 232A the CPE at the end designates Operating temp and other dimensional things that are pretty much arbitrary.
What software are you using with your cable???
