Starting Point Suggestion for First Timer

Everything is a mix and match. The car was originally '92 RS 305 TBI. Wireing harness, computer and chip are new and for a '92 Z28 350 TPI. The TPI system says BIG MOUTH, and is a 350 Speed Density setup. The 350 Motor is a fresh "stock" roller rebuild originally from a '93 roadmaster. It runs horrible! I have already invested in a scan tool and Im about ready to purchase the burner. Should I start with the '92 Z28 chip or is there a better suggestion? I dont even Know for sure that a custom chip will help for sure. I'm running out of options and it runs like a chevette. HELP!

Yes, the 1992 Z28 L98 auto (I assume 3.23 rear gears) would be a great place to start.

Go to the Incoming Downloads at www.diy-efi.org , find the FTP Download link on the main page and scour around for the 7730 ecm and grab the "AUJP 1350" BIN. I also have the AUJP 1615 BIN, which is GM's most current for the Speed Density L98s. The only difference between the two BINs is the Date and Seq code, which have absolutely no effect on the performance of the eprom.
