87 5.0tpi and 5.7tpi ESC differences?

Ok, the car in the signature has the orignal 305tpi ESC module. Atleast i'm pretty sure anyways. I went to the parts store today and looked up the 5.0 and 5.7 modules. Would it be extremely benefical for me to get the 5.7 module? I think it was 97 bucks.

Did you change your knock sensor to the 350 one?

Best thing to do is pull a bunch of ESC modules out of junk yrad cars and experiment with plug readings.

For **MY** AL headed 355, with a Comp 270 cam I would up using the LG4 sensor and a ESC module out of a 3.8L buick.

Every engine is slightly different, and depending on how fine you want to tune things the engine will always tell you what it wants. BTW, at the time I was fooling with them I got them for $2.50 a piece, was hard not to experiment

Desert86Roc,
Yes it has a 350knock sensor. The ESC didn't get changed though.

Grumpy,
I'm not really into the tuning very much yet. So i could probly just use the 305 esc until i figure out whats going on?
The car is at the body shop right now. Once i get it back and mechancially sound as far as not throwing codes anymore then i will be getting into the programming end of it. Oh yea, i'm coming to the powwow this saturday, i hope to get there around 1-2pm.
