locking lterm blm counts in hex editor
locking lterm blm counts in hex editor
i downloaded hex workshop and used the $42def. with asdu.bin. and was told the max min blm address was at x'd2b9 and x'd2ba for $42def.
the decimal value for d2b9 = 53945, and d2ba= 53946. what exactly do i do to get the max min to 128.
if you leave the d2 part of the address out on both, i get b9 = 185, ba = 186.
do i change these address to d280 and d280 for the max min. to maintain 128. also what do you do with the other address which are duplicate in the same eprom table.

Those are the correct addresses. The stock values are decimal 172 (or Hex AC) for x'D2B9 (BLM MAX) and decimal 108 (or Hex 6C) for x'D2BA (BLM MIN).
To set them to 128/128, we are saying DECIMAL 128 or Hex 80.
I cannot explain the values you are getting.

by the way i just went for a ride with my new 383tbi engine with a laptop at my side and datamaster scantool so i can adjust the fuel table. this engine is amazing for power, what a torque monster. i can accelerate in overdrive like i was in 2nd gear!!!
by the way, i am still looking for the blm address in a $85 def. i tried tunercat and am getting no response. imagine, you purchase the program plus the calibration file and they leave you hanging!
how would you go about finding the blm address in a hex editor or who can i ask?

I just load the BIN in my Pocket Programmer and peruse the buffer. Having a hac for the $42 BIN is also helpful.
But the values I gave you are the stock values (in hex) that you will see when you scope out the value in the particular address.
