Need help starting.....

Hello all...
This is my first post so be gentle. I have been reading and have decided to get started with burning my own chip. I have gathered that VE tables are the way to start. If anyone else out there has just begun or has a source of info that would be helpfull for someone starting our. Please post it here. I have read MANY articles on this and have messed with some bin in Tunercat...seems pretty easy to change stuff, but what to change is the hard part...not telling you guys anything new, Right? Perhaps someone can help me understand this more. Thanks!

I am not sure but an 89 Vette should be MAF and it doesn't use VE tables. Quite frankly, I'm not familiar with what needs to be changed in a MAF application. Anyone?

Well...you'd need a capture of ALDL data to see what to adjust.

Generally for a stock engine it comes down to spark advance in the main table, and Power Enrichment spark and fuel tables for WOT service.

If you've modded the engine, I'd start with a stock calibration (ARAP is a good one) and grab ALDL data to see what needs changing.
