PE Fuel ration

I checked the archives and couldn't find anything. Question: What are you guys running as your PE Fuel ratio. I have a friend that said 10% rich is the best.

------------------
1991 Z28 305 5spd 1LE, TES headers, dual cats, 3 Chamber flowmaster, Comp cams .488/.495 212/218, 187 head castings with bigger valves, self-burned eproms.
Gained 20HP by porting and polishing my EGR passage.(some people take this seriously)

All work done by myself, and proud of it!

Find a .bin on the internet and want it burned? I'll do it for you!

I have mine set to 14.7, that is according to what someone has told me on this board. I know I should have been adjusting Acceleration Enrichment instead... can't tell you how exactly, yet.. still working on it.

Whoa, you guys are talking about 3 different things. SlowTA has his air-fuel ratio (AFR) set to 14.7, which is best for emissions and how most engines are supposed to run. He changed his AE to give his engine more of a "pump shot" to cure the lean condition he was getting at throttle tip-in.

BenDoe is looking at the Power Enrichment, specifically how much the AFR is changed when the ECM goes into PE (usually abot 50-70% throttle). 10% rich gives you about a 13.4 AFR, which is still a little lean for best power and torque. I forget which one is which, but best power and torque are around 12.8 to 13.0 AFR. Of course, with our wonderful computers, we can dial in the PE for different coolant temps and throughout the whole RPM range. BTW, your curve should match what the engine needs and will not just be a certain % change over the entire rev-band.
