TPS voltage ??

I have the PTS set at .54 volts at idle, but at full throttle it reads about 4.3 volts. When I use Craig Moates software the car idles at 10% and full throttle is about 85% throttle. Is this a sign of a bad TPS, I can't find any information about what it should read at full throttle. Also if it is bad, would it cause a bog at tip in? It sounds like a good theory to me!

The first thing to do with check the mechanicals of the situation. Does the gas pedal even open the throttle all the way?.
then, why is the inital adjustment that high?.
Have you set the min idle speed?.
Check the intial timing?.
Generally if all that is correct then you'll have resolved the problem.

Yes, the gas pedal opens the throttle right to the stoper, min. idle is set, timing is at 6 degrees. So apparently this isn't a general problem. Just my luck.

What does your throttle postion read when using Graig's software.. or whatever software you are using?

It's a problem with Craig's software. He's calculated %TPS by using 0 volts as 0% throttle and 5 volts as 100% throttle, but that's not how GM does it. Bruce, any idea on how it's supposed to be calculated?

The answer to your question is:
TPS voltage at idle should be .54 volts.
TPS voltage at WOT should be 4.49 volts.
A + or - .07 volts is acceptable.

So if I'm reading .7 + a little .... that would be too much for Idle?
