8192/160 Baud ALDL Cable Question......
Hello guys,
I have just made my 8192/160 Baud ALDL from www.techedge.com.au/vehicle/aldl8192/8192hw.htm
my question is that my connector on my car looks nothing like the ones in their website. I have three pins that are M, B, A that need to plug into the cars diagnosis port. What pins in the port are these. I thought it was the 12 pin US style connector but now that I have went to plug the wires in I'm not sure anymore.
The car is a 89 corvette and I am using a IBM thinkpad with freescan on it. I also read that I have to hit force about 5 times to get things to start. is this also true. I would like to have it ready for the track tonight after work so if anyone could help me out ASAP I would greatly appreciate it. thanks a million!!!!!

My connector is exactly like the 12 pin US style connector they show. Somebody has changed the stock connector on your car?
Whichever 2 terminals you short to read codes get the 10k resistor (A&B), the third (M) can be gotten by trial and error, I think. Good luck.

I thought the serial data was at 5v.
the TCC is 12, misplugging the M into it might not be a good thing.
I dunno as a for sure, but I'd make sure before risking smoke.
The wiring diagram I have here shows Serial data as being Orange.
