tuning with tunercat
Is there a way to see information from the ecm like engine temp, blm, map, etc? I've seen tunerpro and tunercat, and I like the way that tuner pro has the dash to view info. Does tunercat have something that I've missed? Or is there another software that will scan while tunercat is running? I like them both, but would prefer not to have to use an external scanner if I can help it. Thanks

Only TunerCat's RT Tuner can do "on the fly" tuning and you must buy a real time emulator as well such as the Romulator from Xtronics or Craig Moates Autoprom or his USB Ostrich. Ultimately, the bin you develop "on the fly" must be burned the eprom to make the changes permanent.
The other program called Tuner only does your tuning "offline" (ie. at your home, not "on the fly" while driving). The only way to reflect any changes is to burn the bin to an eprom.
As mentioned above, neither have the abilility to scan. You must buy a separate scan tool.

Tunercat- No RT tuning, no scan, no burn
Tunercat RT- Real time tuning on the fly, no scan, no burn
Tunerpro- RT tuning, scan, burn and much more.

Thanks for the responses. I didn't think there was a scanning function in tunercat. What is the exact name of the TTS software? I assume that it isn't a free software, or is it?

Datamaster.
You can download their trial version for free. It will monitor everything for as long as you like, but you can only recors 30 data logs before it "expires" and locks up on you.

Its really a great program, just expensive as you have to buy a new version for each type of computer you want to scan.
