What does it all mean?

Does anyone know where I can find a definition of terms for all the acronyms that plague this topic? (BLM, TCC, ETC.) ALSO ... Something that explains how these different parameters interrelate would be nice too. I can normally figure out on my own that 1+1=2 but this is more like 2xyz+3pdq=dirt. I've spent all this money on burning equipment and don't know where to even begin. Books, posts, videos or what ever, I just need some basic "problem+change=effect/consiquence" background.

One book that really helped me understand the mumbo jumbo is mentioned in another recent post:
How to Tune and Modify Chevrolet Fuel Injection
Published by Motorbooks Powertech Series
Written by Ben Watson.

It doesn't really help with programming, but it has helped me understand what the terms mean and how things are interrelated.

Here's a great post: https://www.thirdgen.org/messgboard/...ML/000637.html

The other thing that helped was doing searches on this board. Eventually, the terms and concepts sink in.

I often think there is a misunderstanding that Traxion's article is a comprehensive beginner's guide to programming your own proms. It does a great job of describing the mechanics of burning proms, but doesn't (probably by design) go into details of what to program. You have to figure that out on your own.
