How do the SES flags affect operation??
If I check the EGR flag off, will the computer realize that I checked it and won't use it? Or will it try to and just not set the light off.
I want to switch to a carb manifold and put my TBI on it, but I don't want to deal with it if the EGR jacks it all up.

I do believe you need to set the temp to a negative number for it not to come on. I remember Grumpy telling me this. How the 7747 EGR on temp should be put to - so it never comes on. Something about it being backwards. I did it and it stopped EGR from coming on so try both ways.
